These tools work just the same as the standerd lifter release tool but where damaged in the manufacturing process. This makes them visually not pleasing so are being sold for less money. There will be a limited supply of these because it does not happen offen. Don't forget to purchase a VLOM plug with this tool it will still cost less than purchasing the kit. VLOM plug does not apply to 2018+ vehicles equipped with DFM and the tool has not been tried yet.
 
Disclaimer: The lifter release trick will not work if V4 mode is still active. In order to shut the system off is must be disabled in the tune. The VLOM mod is also highly recommended.
