Another collapsed lifter
Just ordered the lifter release kit with VLOM plug. Just want to verify that this technique will work on 2016 5.3 Silverado?

It very well could. You need to do your part though and make sure you diagnose the concern first. Often times the newer direct injection models have a bent pushrod instead of a collapsed lifter. If that's the case the lifter release trick won't help you. However I do offer a pushrod upgrade for that issue that will help you. Take the time to actually find out if you have a collapsed lifter or not first.
