I have a 2016 GMC Yukon with a #7 collapsed lifter. I ordered the tool and plug and am waiting on that to arrive. I watched several of your videos but it looks like the 2016 is slightly different than the older vehicles. You have to remove one time use fuel lines to access the VLOM. Do you need to remove the fuel rail(s) and injectors to access the VLOM or just those lines that run on top of it? If you do have to remove any suggestions on removal? Should you replace the injectors while they are out? Are you able to reuse old ones? The truck has 148k miles on it. Hoping unsticking the lifter and VLOM modification with the tune solves the issue. The shop wants to replace the engine for 8k.

You do have to remove the fuel rails on it to do the job. However you better check that your pushrods are straight and the lifter appears to be in tact. These newer ones are known for bending pushrods, blowing lifters apart and VLOM leaking. So it's critical to do the VLOM mod, tune out AFM as well as recommended to upgrade pushrods. Removing those fuel rails can be really tough sometimes. Be sure to clean out any corrosion in the fuel injector holes prior to re-assembly. I recommend using a drill bit perfectly sized or one size under the size of the hole. Grabbing it with a vice grip use it like a file to gently file away any build up. One could also use a chainsaw file but remember be very cautious not to remove metal. You only want to clean off the white corrosion in the surface so it doesn't tear the new seals.
